Summer is coming in Toronto and what better way to celebrate the warming weather than with a trip around beautiful Ontario! Here’s a look at 8 events happening all over Ontario in the coming weeks.
Tay Canada Day
Join the township of Tay in celebrating Canada Day at their festival on June 21st and 22nd. From barbecue to live rock music, this festival will have something for everyone to enjoy. Saturday features over 40 crafters, artisans, and vendors, as well as an exotic petting zoo and watermelon eating contest.
Salsa at Blue Mountain
Celebrate the 11th annual Salsa at Blue Mountain coming up from June 21st to 23rd in Blue Mountain Village on Lake Huron. Learn some new dances or sit back and enjoy the live music and performances. Other activities include pottery painting, candy, shopping, and more!
Taste of Asia
From June 28th to 30th, head up to Markham for Canada’s largest Asian festival, Taste of Asia. This free event will showcase Canada’s unique Asian heritage and culture with performances, food, celebrities, sports, art, and much more. Cobourg Waterfront Festival
Celebrate 32 years of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival coming up from June 29th to July 1st. Check out the Rotary HarbourArts Show and the Lions Marketplace, or head over for the many events taking place in Victoria Park. Admission to the main event is free.
Mariposa Folk Festival
From July 5th to 7th, head up to Orillia for a musical weekend getaway at the Mariposa Folk Festival in Tudhope Park. Headliners this year include Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, Jason Isbell, and Stars, along with a variety of performances and crafts. You can purchase your tickets at the link above.
Burlington Downtown Car Show
Head down to Burlington on July 6th for the 5th annual Burlington Downtown Car Show beginning at 10 am. Check out a variety of unique and antique cars, including classics, muscle cars, cruisers, sports cars, tuners and exotic sports cars. Guests can also enjoy live music and local vendors and merchants.
Belleville Waterfront & Multicultural Festival
From July 11th to 14th Belleville will be hosting the Waterfront & Multicultural Festival at West Zwick’s Park. Peruse through traditional and modern food from various countries around the world, including the Caribbean, Greece, the Netherlands, India, Italy, and many more! Free gate admission and shuttle buses are available.
Finally, on July 13th, head up to Vaughan for the 2019 PizzaFest. Nearly 30 pizzerias will showcase their best pizzas, along with tons of beer and live entertainment. Ticket prices vary by day, so be sure to check out their FAQ for more.
